Privacy policy for StavePal, including version 1.1.1. Updated October 25, 2026.

StavePal is provided by Furnace Technology (Haikou) Co., Ltd. This policy describes the iPhone and iPad app, including the optional features you choose to use.

Data stored on your device

PDF scores, imported images and audio, annotations, bookmarks, setlists, practice recordings and app preferences are stored locally. StavePal does not require an account and does not send your library to a developer-operated server. The app includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.

Optional camera, photos and microphone access

The camera is used when you choose to scan a paper score. Selected photos can be imported as score pages. The microphone is used for tuning and recording. Tuning audio is processed on the device; recordings are saved locally. These functions require the relevant system permission or selection. You can change permissions in Settings.

Downloads, sharing and backups

If you import a PDF from an HTTPS URL, your device contacts the server at the address you supply. That server may receive your IP address and request information under its own policy. StavePal does not send the downloaded score to us. Files providers, AirDrop, exported backups and other sharing destinations are controlled by you and the services you choose. Files stored in iCloud or another provider may be handled under that provider’s policy. Device backups may include app data according to your system settings.

Optional nearby page following

When you start nearby page following, the app discovers and can automatically connect to nearby StavePal devices with the complementary leader or follower role. It advertises a device display name and role, and exchanges the score title, composer and page number over an encrypted local connection. It does not transfer PDF contents, annotations or recordings through this feature, or send this information to a developer-operated server. Use it only with trusted nearby participants, and stop the connection or revoke Local Network permission when you no longer want to participate.

Purchases and diagnostics

Apple handles App Store purchases; StavePal does not receive your payment card details. Apple may make aggregated app analytics or crash diagnostics available to developers according to your Apple settings and Apple’s policies. TestFlight feedback you choose to submit is handled through Apple.

Support messages

If you email contact@forgetech.site, we receive your email address and the information or attachments you include. We use them to respond and investigate your request. We retain support correspondence only for as long as needed for support or applicable record-keeping obligations. You can request deletion by emailing the same address.

Your choices

You can remove scores, recordings and backups you control, revoke permissions, or delete the app’s local data by deleting the app. Export a backup first if you want to keep your library. Copies you shared or saved in other services must be managed separately. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app.
